Voyage of the brigantine Hope : from Boston to the northwest coast of America / /by Joseph Ingraham.

The log of the brigantine Hope covers a 1790-1791 voyage from Boston to the Marquesas and Hawaiian Islands, and the Northwest Coast, trading with the Indians, and a return trip to the Hawaiian Islands. The account continues with a trip to China, return to the Northwest coast, and voyage to Hawaii Island in 1792. There are copies of letters by Ingraham concerning trade in Nootka Sound, Vancouver Island and harbor arrangements. There is a three page vocabulary of the language of the "Washington Isles."
